These safes offer you two kinds of locks. Browning has designed this safe in a way that you can store as many valuable things as you want.Ī Browning gun safe can be excellent storage to protect your valuable items, but it won’t be helpful if you don’t know how to open a browning gun safe. These safes provide your style, security, and fire protection. Browning gun safes are designed specifically for securing your items from fire. Usually this involves a sacrificial piece breaking, its possible thats what happened here and thats why the handles are spinning freely. Many gun safes will help you secure your arms from uncertified people, but some offer fire protection. Im not at all familiar with Liberty safes but many safes have features to prevent someone from forcing the handle to try to open the safe. If an attempt to break in tripped a relocker its closed for good until someone can open it for you. If you see evidence someone tried to break in there very well may be damage and you will need a safe tech. I would double check with Liberty to make sure you have the dialing sequence correct though, most safe locks use the same dialing sequence but you never know. They probably gave you the combo it left the factory with but it could have been changed any number of times anywhere along the way. The combo they gave could very easily be wrong. When youre dialing the combo at any point do you feel increased resistance like you would when you correctly dial your own safe? Does it feel like it "should" be unlocked it just isnt? Or does the dial always feel free to rotate? Hopefully that makes sense, its hard to write out what Im asking about. Im by no means an expert on safes but hopefully some of this will be a little helpful. I think there may be a pistol in one though! Going to see what it is in this thing and update this weekend ALSO there were 3 more lock boxes in it that i can't get open. If he can't we will need to get it drilled. Update: Have someone from Liberty coming out tomorrow at 9 am PST to try to open it free of charge. Also should I post in another sub to see if they can help(like Askreddit) My safe has a lever and does not move when the safe is locked so I'm not sure if someone might have tried to force my dads safe open and broke it.Īny info at all would help me before I have to pay someone to come take a look at it. Could they be wrong? Could the lock have been changed?Īlso there are marks like someone tried to break into it at some point (crowbar pry marks on the door opening).Īlso the Handle Hub (what you turn to open it not the combo wheel) spins freely in both directions with a little force. I used the numbers given but it will not open. I can not understand what she wrote down but I have the numbers and know how safes work (I have my own). I sent all the necessary info to liberty safe and they sent me the combination but I was at work when they called and my mom wrote the combo down and the directions. My Father passed away recently and left me his liberty safe Lincoln model.
